Just as Ford did away with stand alone Mercury stores in late 2007, General Motors will cut or combine its remaining stand alone Buick and GMC dealerships by late next year. The move is a direct result of Pontiac’s demise, which was once a pillar of the Pontiac-Buick-GMC channel.
